QUARTZMON! Not to mention, a Benevolent Quartzmon! That was one of the most unexpected Digimon culprits behind this incident!

Last week, we all assumed/thought it be something like Beezlebumon, Burpmon, or Weddinmon, because the title and episode involved eating and Gluttony!

Seven • 1 year ago

Thats what captivated me most in this season, this thrill of trying to discover what digimon will be the week's villain, and I gotta say, ep 61 Zeedmillenniummon and todays ep 62 goog guy Quartzmon saving babies were two very good surprises, both eps were 10/10 in my opinion and this season so far is a 9/10 for me...

Phillip Brooker • 1 year ago

It's a pity this series will have to end for another to take its place. Hopefully we'll get lots more before that happens.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Yeah, this from what I was expecting as well.
There has been on a misleading amount number of occasion with this series for a while with the titles of a certain number of eps.
And looks like the s t o r y line is finally starting to progress out of so many eps that have been a mystery so far.

Just a passing by bear • 1 year ago

This is going too far, is the one flooding the human world with Digimon trying to cause chaos in the human realm, or a saviour attempting to avert an impending mass extinction of all digimon kind?

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

not gonna lie
those were the LAST Candidates for me (mostly because i only recognizce beelzemon)
thinking "they won't pick an obvious digimon"

Annecy Change • 1 year ago

Hiro dad causing problem.
Lost count how many digimon could have end the world. lol

ryuuri • 1 year ago

Quartzmon is straight out of Evangelion now realize it, it also looks like those D-Reapers in Tamers.
If you think about it both Siriusmon and Amphimon look like Evangelion battling one of those Angels in the anime.

Fayt Leingod • 1 year ago

they have similarities both of them eats almost anythings

Seven • 1 year ago

This season is going all out with finall boss level digimon as week villains LOL Quartzmon is not a multiversal treat like Zeedmillenniummon but his powers are terrifying in his own ways...

Edit: I was not expecting this Quartzmon to be a good guy trying to save many baby digimon... this season keeps surprising me...

2nd Edit: next ep we'll have Dragomon and his dark ocean lore? cool, the dark ocean digiworld is not mentioned very often...

KiboE • 1 year ago

Indeed, But honestly, what's more unexpected is how this Quartzmon is actually a benevolent Digimon and the only reason behind his actions was only because he wanted to save all those baby Digimon!

KAISER • 1 year ago

having massive digital hazard threat levels of power doesn't mean you are necessarily evil

Blaz • 1 year ago

Quartzmon is a Multiversal Threat. Right up there with beings like the Knights and the Olympus. We know this because Omega Shoutmon is literally given the power of Omegamon and they still need help in defeating Quartzmon. Omegamon is in itself, a Multiversal threat.

ady ivanceanu • 1 year ago

He pushed back and badly wounded Omegamon,Imperialdramon Fighter Mode,Dukemon,Susanoomon,Shinegreymon in his Astamon form. Yes they had to call all the other teams to help with this guy. He affected all worlds and turned them into Digiquartz. He transcends space and time so if you don't do as well he's literally unbeatable. He was given life from the clash between Shoutmon X7 Superior Mode and Darkness Bagramon who had the power of the Dark Stone who could bring about the D5 where all worlds and all dimensions would be destroyed by the power of darkness before being merged. They needed the Brave Snatcher infused with the power of all past leaders to even think of beating him and at one point he shattered the weapon. The Brave Snatcher was fashioned from material from the Server Tree one of Yggdrasil's avatars. It gave Bagramon the ability to transcend space-time,Super-Dimensional powers in a class of his own,the abillity to rip and manipulate souls.

Neil Dunsmore • 1 year ago

Okay, so they're still going with the whole 'Oh, they're just holograms' thing, yet they have the pay for their Digimon's tickets. Why would they have to buy tickets for holograms? What organization would implement a rule like that?

Kranesh • 1 year ago

I loved the twist of this episode, we all had our theories about the Monster of this week, but I think none of us was expecting a Quartzmon... a good Quartzmon no less! I got worried at first because I thought "No, they totally have to kill this guy", then the freaking "I'm a giant carrier transporting babies" twist happened... I still cannot believe it.

There's also one important thing... Clockmon just shared the news that something serious is happening in the Digiworld, and judging by Hiro's stance at the end... does this confirms that his dad is The One or might be The One?

If it's true then I'm finding dubious that the Digiworld will be destroyed, probably fake news in order to send as many Digimons as possible to the real world... but what if it's true? What if Hokuto is not The One but someone desperate that wants to save as many Digimons as possible from this cataclysm? I think the only way to find out is going to the Digiworld itself... and I hope it happens soon.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

According to synopsis on With the Will forum, 65th episode is going to be seriously important episode.

I didn't expect benevolent Quartzmon, knowing his evilness and viciousness in Hunters.
Quartzmon is protecting baby digimon and Clavis Angemon from last episode try to find home for all those digimon.

Something is happening in digital world and there are two options - digimon escape to human world because of that danger or "The One" still throws as many digimon as it can via digital gates.

Is Hokuto "The One"? I don't know, it will feel that Hokuto is almost God if he can throw some powerful digimon (Kuzuhamon, Lilithmon, Moon Millenniummon) in human world.
It is confirmed that he works with some digimon on some technology. It could be that someone steal or misuse that technology and that is causing havoc in digital world.

Kranesh • 1 year ago

Interesting that episode 65 can be a potential game changer, but it makes sense considering there will be 5 episodes to go till the 70th episode, Ghost Game can potentially become one of the longest running Digimon shows ever.

Also, about the last bit of Hokuto working with Digimon in special technology... we had previous episodes where human researchers collided with Digimons, what if another human is behind this all along and Hokuto being The One is just a red herring?

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

For now, at least, Ghost Game is going to have 68 episodes. I hope for the second season, because it seems almost impossible and illogical to rush everything up and to make end very disappointing. There are still so many unsolved mysteries and I don't think that would be properly resolved in three last episodes.

Do you think there is some other human who causes this havoc? Villainous human like Kurata would be interesting, because we don't have in digimon anime many human villains (Oikawa and Yamaki aren't really villains).

Kranesh • 1 year ago

I'm willing to bet that The One is in fact, another human, likely a scientist like Hokuto with a very twisted personality.

Also, are you actually sure that Ghost Game will have 68 episodes total or you're just tossing a random number out there?

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

It would be real plot twist if we have some other human villain out of nowhere. Only scientist who mess up with digimon was that lady from Morphomon's episode.

We will have 65th episode on February 26, then we will have hiatus on March 5th and then we will get three episodes with 68th on March 26, when presumably is the end of Ghost Game.

Interestingly though, they still don't announce the final number of episodes so that gives me hope that Ghost Game is going on break after March 26th, just like Xros wars.
I mean, seriously, they can't wrap up and end everything properly in just three episodes.

KingKrash • 1 year ago

I'm guessing that Hokuto and BlackTailmon are working together(possibly with/against the Dark Digimon that have made random appearances since I'm not sure what they plan on doing) to try to keep/bring the Digimon that are troublesome or unwilling to stay in the Human world back to the Digital world BUT there's Person/Digimon/THING that is is forcing the digimon into the human world.

As for the Dark Digimon, the more I think about it the more they feel like a Third Party that while usually just getting rid of nuisances, now they are dragged into the conflict. Ex: GulusGammamon only really targeting the ones that are a threat to Gammamon or Hiro.

Kranesh • 1 year ago

I'm still betting that Hokuto being the bad guy might be a red herring and someone else is The One, but this show has kinda surprised us in the past, so we'll have to wait and see.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

Digimon Ghost Game writers: We think we forgot something
Toei Executives: If you forgot, then it wasn't important
Ghost Game writers: Yeah you are right

(Meanwhile, Fans are waiting for Espimon to reveal WHY he was send to find Hiro Amanokawa in first place)

Seriously. At least have an anticlimatic reasoning but at least say it.
It is implied the show advanced "in real time" (hence why we got 2 halloween episodes and the characters themselves recognizce a year has passed), so Espimon was with them for months..... You would think they would at least have him tell Hiro offscreen WHY he was sent to find him after spending months trying to find him, and maybe show in flashback the reason in a later episode .... myabe that's what they will do

Huh. Weird the show never tried to have Christmas episode.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Lilithmon's episode was kind of Christmas episode.

Hokuto sent Espimon to Hiro and knowing what Espimon's name means, it's possible that he is Hokuto's spy. Maybe, we know nothing, mostly because Espimon wasted 24 episodes with his "fake Hiro" nonsense.

KingKrash • 1 year ago

Is this the first episode to end on a cliffhanger?

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Yes, yes, it is.
Seriously, this one ends with cliffhanger, but next one seems regular.

knightwolf09 • 1 year ago

So wait, digimon being sent to the digital world is not an accident, nor a means to cause chaos....but rather an evacuation from the digital world. What the heck is happening there?

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

in hindsight no wonder Gulus wants to synch with hiro
he only neds to synch ONCE to get access to digievolve again to a higher power

if espimon being able to evolve at will now is any indication

KingKrash • 1 year ago

that or they didn't want to do an evo-animation for him...

Could that be Hiro's Dad behind all these sending all the Digimon to the real world

Inacio Burkle Maron • 1 year ago

Did anyone else notice the humongous shadow behind the ship during the preview? I think next week we're going straight to lovecraftian territory!

Quartzmon one of Final Villains in Xros Wars

KingKrash • 1 year ago

I knew I was remembering that correctly, except I think he looked mor like some sort of multi-cubic entity after changing at least at one point.

PicHor • 1 year ago

climax is coming!

Felix Nascimento • 1 year ago

This season of digimon is so frustrating. All this talk no jutsu to solve everything (except gulusgamamon episodes e 1 episode of angoramon) is strange. How good it would be if we could solve all the problems by talking (this is probably the concept that the show is trying to pass).

KingKrash • 1 year ago

not sure you have seen them but there where plenty of times when "talking" wasn't an option and digimon AND people have died.

Agumon-kun • 1 year ago

Plenty? There were like 3-4 at most compared to what 60 other talk no jutsu episodes. BRUH. I'm on there with Felix. This is really boring. What made Digimon was the action, adventure and that oomph feel to it. This season doesn't have any of it. Even the cursed tri. and Hunters had that feel.

KingKrash • 1 year ago

Your free to have your opinions, I personally like it for my own.

Agumon-kun • 1 year ago

Commandramon and Arachnimon episodes come to mind. So not even 3-4, probably 2 or 3 at most. We are on 63... 60 episodes of talk no jutsu. Yeah, nope.

ryuuri • 1 year ago

Yet again, one of the worst Digimons to take over someone, it's almost as bad as Millenniumon.

howlingwolfjoey • 1 year ago

Next Week is gonna be Dracomon!
Also, Digimon has exiled to the human world? So Digimon was not accidently sent there, but sent there on purpose. If that's the case, then where is Hakuto and why wasn't this informed to Hiro and co.? Did something happened to him? And why is BlkGatomon is sending them back if he knew something happened to the Digital World? Questions need to be answered as we FINALLY get plot 30 episodes later. But this show is ending in 2 episodes. How are they going to cram everything? If Toei haven't throwing us filler plot and get on with the plot from the beginning, it would've been a good show. Better than both 2020 reboot, Appmon, and Xros Wars. And even better than Tamers.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Dracomon? Or you mean, Dagomon?

It's almost certain that Ghost Game is coiming to an end
at the end of March, so we probably will have at least five more episodes after this one.

Something bad is going on in digital world, but we still don't know anything.

Ghost Game is indeed better than Adventure 2020 and Xros wars. In some segments, it's even better than original five and Appmon.

Ghost Game is good, but if they rush everything, that would be catastrophe.

For now, at least, for me, Ghost Game is better than Adventure 2020, Xros wars, Digimon Tri and 02. It's equal with Appmon, Frontier and Tamers, but Savers is still better.

Ankith Nair • 1 year ago

Sorry, this series was trash, right next to hunters. Absolute garbage. Always watched in 2x.

Agumon-kun • 1 year ago

People seriously thinking this season is better than Adventure 2020? Are you kidding me? 60+ episodes of no story happening and was a season like Looney Tunes, only recently they decided put an overarching story, otherwise it was just only "monster of the week episode with talk no jutsu endings that added nothing to the season" type of season. And you call this better than last season which had an overarching story as well as a theme since day 1 and pushed forward to it, only to botch up right after ZeedMilleniummon not being the final boss revealed. It wasn't perfect but there is no way 2020 was worse than this borefest we see here. Come on... THIS IS THE MOST BORING DIGIMON SEASON EVER TO DATE. This is bad. Now it's showing signs of being a decent show... It took it 60 damn episodes. Geez. Good my ass.

howlingwolfjoey • 1 year ago

Dracomon is the English translation from Dagomon.
They have said that after ep65 will be a hiatus for GG because another show is taking GG's airtime placement.
I wouldn't say if thru should rush it. I'm saying if they haven't made these needless episodes that doesn't move the plot and just get on with the story, then the show would've be better because ever since the introduction of Espimon to the episode before the introduction of Mega Evolution, it has been nothing but filler that has nothing to do with either the story nor character growth and any character growth they have always reset.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

We get hiatus on March 5th, because of Tokyo Marathon.
We will get three more episodes after 65th in March. 68th will be on air on March 26th.

After that, we will get hiatus, like in Xros wars or, maybe, Ghost Game is going to get new time slot.
I just hope they won't end everything in 68th episode, because that would be just stupid.
We had so many unnecessary filler episodes, so if they rush plot now, that would be just ridiculously idiotic move. But, everything is possible.

Even now, nobody confirms that Ghost Game is going to have 68 episodes.

Melfina Rose • 1 year ago

Where did you get 2 eps from? This has way more than 2 eps left in it.

howlingwolfjoey • 1 year ago

This show ends in 65th episode. After that, the hiatus starts. They're literally close to the ending.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Hiatus is on March 5th, because of Tokyo Marathon.
We will see three more episodes (66th, 67th and 68th) on March 12, March 19 and March 26 respectively.
